OUR STORY

Lucas Marks And The Glorious Unknown are a contemporary americana influenced
folk rock band based in mid-Cheshire. Formed in 2017 around Lucas Marks (a singer songwriter from Knutsford) this up and coming band have been wowing audiences with their exciting-tuneful music and thoughtful lyrics.
High points have included their appearance at Mark Radcliffe's Folk At The Little Theatre (as part of the 2018 Knutsford Festival) and acclaimed appearances on the Middlewich Folk Festival fringe.
The band often play smaller venues with a four piece semi-acoustic lineup but also have a larger six piece outfit (featuring electric guitar and rock drummer) for
larger venues and festivals

About Lucas Marks:
Lucas Marks first began writing songs after a silent meditation retreat.
Lyrics and music simply began to flow up from within, in a regular stream.
He honed his craft playing to local audiences in pubs, enjoying playing to people "in the moment".
Music for Marks is all about the moment.
The way lyrics flow after barren times,
The way a song first comes into being as an idea,
A voice or a melody.
His songs are there to be played, to be thrashed out, to seduce, to provoke, to testify...
